Carpet and Upholstery Cleaning
“Your carpet may contain 200,000 bacteria per square inch, which would make it 4,000 times dirtier than your toilet seat.”
Dust Mite Control
“20 million Americans are highly allergic to dust mites.”
Simply walking across a carpeted floor sends tiny allergens into the air.
Carpets are breeding grounds for all sorts of chemical and biological pollutants, including pesticides, fungi, dust mites, pet dander, mold and viruses. Some viruses can live on an uncleaned carpet for weeks. These unseen microscopic organisms can cause allergies.
We use carpet-safe rotary brushes for really dirty areas. Note the difference in the clean area toward the bottom.
Here our professional dual rotary brush cleaning system applies hot cleaning solution, while gently agitating the fibers, then extracts all the solution along with the contaminants leaving your carpet smelling fresh and looking like new. No residue is left behind to gather more soil later.
Dirty edges are often neglected by other companies, but TNT's attention to this kind of detail pays off for our clients.
This image shows how much dirt the carpet edges 'filter' the dirty air in the home. This is due to imbalanced air pressure in the rooms when the furnace or air conditioner fan is on. The excess air pressure is compensated for inside the walls and is filtered through your carpets.
This carpet was 'cleaned' before using one of those 'oxy-clean' type detergents. We got this small area cleaned with just hot water extraction wand in a few seconds. The residual 'oxy' cleaner was still embedded in the fibers attracting dirt and needed to be extracted. Don't settle for oxy-clean type cleansers.
After this workout room was flooded, the excess water was extracted. Then we deep cleaned the carpet starting with the edges as you can see here.
When this happens and your basement is flooded call TNT. We've been doing flood restoration for many years.
We care about your home, and always use corner guards to protect corners and furniture legs.
After each area is cleaned we place an industrial blower to quickly dry to carpet. Most of the time all are dry before we leave.
Here is our weather guard used to keep out the cold (or hot) air while our hoses are in use.
"Exposure to allergens produced by house dust mites, found in nearly every indoor environment, can lead to asthma in children who are predisposed to developing the disease." - Institute of Medicine
Dust mites look like ferocious monsters, but thousands could sit on a pinhead. They thrive in pillows, mattresses, upholstered furniture, stuffed toys and carpets: wherever they have a steady supply of human dander (shed flakes of skin). When inhaled, tiny dust-mite droppings trigger coughing, stuffy nose, itchy eyes or wheezing.
"46% of North American homes have bedding with enough dust mite allergen to cause allergies. Of these homes, 24% had levels that were five times greater than the threshold to cause allergic reactions!" - The National Institutes of Health, 2002
Dust mites gorging on dead skin flakes in nearly every bed in the world. You can't completely eliminate them, but we can help you greatly reduce their population enough to free you of allergies caused by them.
